STRAIGHT UP! CLIFF RICHARD was robbed of victory with ‘CONGRATULATIONS’ in the 1968 Eurovision Song Contet by vote rigging by General Franco’s fascists! SPANISH FILM MAKER montse fernandez villa broke the story on Spanish tv on Sunday night…..saying Franco had wanted to boost Spain’s international image by winning the contest. Cliff lost thE contest by one point after a strong last minute surge by the Spanish entry. Spanish tv executives had travelled round Europe promising to buy tv series in return for votes.
