We have lift off. CHRIS KNIGHT will stand against cabinet minister TESSA JOWELL in the DULWICH AND WEST NORWOOD seat at the general election. Chris was public enemy NO.1 this summer after his high profile in organising the G20 protests and was instrumental in the Liverpool Dockers/RTS link ups. He wass a founding editor of ‘LABOUR BRIEFING’ He is currently fighting being sacked from his Professor of Radical Anthropology post at East London Univesity for his remarks about ‘Hanging the Bankers’ during G20. Chris will be runing a rumbustuous street meeting campaign in the constituency which includes chunks of Brixton and Southwark. All help welcome!
Comrades in County Durham say they will be supporting an independent NUM candidate standing against KEVAN JONES MP in the NORTH DURHAM constituency. There will be a meeting in January where all the geuinely independent candidates on the Left can see how they can work together to provide an effective campaigning national presence at the election.

Good on him, most in his position would see the lack of support our movements provided and give up.
Maybe Chris will have a magic giraffe helping him out but at least it will be out on the streets talking radical(ish) politics.
