It’s a DAVE NEW WORLD out there where my exhaustive research shows that 18 out of 23 cabinet ministers are millionaires!
Inequality the gretest since slavery………19 Prime Ministers from Eton……….18 Oxbridge in cabinet………..‘When will we awake from our long deep sleep’ George Orwell.
Britain is the most class ruled society in Europe – we’re almost back to serfdom! Who’s up for a CLASS UNITY CLASS PRIDE FUCK THE OXBRIDGE ELITE march then? They all hang out at Rowley Leigh’s CAFE ANGLAIS restaurant in Whiteleys in Bayswater. There’s even a separate entrance for the toffs! Maybe we should turn up at the servants entrance?

WAKE UP FOR FUCK SAKE PEOPLE!!!
“When will we wake from our long dark sleep..”Does this apply to us anarchists or the working class ?Straight up Ian,the quality of comments on this blog has plummetted in the last 6 months.
Poor attempts at humour and little ‘food for thought’ content in replies.
After watching “Young,British and Angry”,and knowing a few lads into the EDL,I can’t help but feel that the EDL is filling a void and appealing to youngsters that CW ought to be scooping up….If it offered something workable, smashable,’vote able’,and credibly appealable.
The anarchists will always be there to fight and protest-luv it.
But the next step has alluded them for a while now.
They are going backwards.
At least the extreme left and right are realistic about trying to TAKE power, rather than destroying it BEFORE you actually control it.!
The organisation of the future for working class revolution has to make its absolute priority, forcefully taking power-nothing else.
Think carefully comrades.
The powers and forces that defeated anarchists all those years ago, are so much more complicated and insidious now.Using the anarchist methods of the past, we would be slaughtered at the first cross roads.
I wonder how many of those EDLer’s or SWPer’s would understand the logic of this, and join us, if they were given a solid working class agenda from a 21st century anarchist organisation?Plenty I say.
Before we move one inch fucking forward,we need exactly that;a working class agenda for TAKING power in our life time.REALISTICALLY.
On the streets with force and reason,at the ballot with genuine candidates, and in all areas inbetween with action and ideas.
Fuck the past and all the cob-webbed logic and theory. If we could proceed forward with that strategy we’d have a fucking army by now.
We haven’t.
Waiting for a Tory Governments’ slashfest to rally some opposition demonstrates the poverty of our strategy and tactics.
But,exactly wot we need;strategy and tactics…for the 21st Century to wake up the sleeping giant that is the working class from its slumber, and the passionate forces of the anarchists into unison with the only class its vitriolic rehetoric was meant for.
We are at a crossroads;one way is the S bends to the sewer and the other to the hard road to revolution and ultimately liberation.
Only one choice really……
Make it and take it.
So can we have some concrete ideas on what the “hard road” entails? What is “the strategy”? And are you essentially saying we need to stop being anarchists at all and be some sort of combination of electoral reformists “at the ballots with genuine candidates” and Marxist-Leninists “forcefully taking power – nothing else”?
I’m not taking the piss, I’m just trying to see what it is you’re really saying so I know if I can agree with it or not.
I’m not particularly keen on any of the old anarchist theoretician codgers, that was then and this is now, but I do think Bakunin was absolutely right that any vanguardist types taking power to create a “dictatorship of the proletariat” will ALWAYS end up as a dictatorship OVER the proletariat and everyone else by another self-serving elite, even if the initial people doing it might be well meaning. I speak as someone who grew up in a “co-operative socialist people’s republic” (in name only).
eastham dave you are edl-anarchist and i claim my five pounds. Take power by force? Hitler would be proud of you and your edl mates.
Outrageous.
To be perfectly honest with you, I would prefer someone who had a decent education or had been successful in business as the Leader of the country as opposed to a Postman or some chav with an eye for a leg up in society. But, maybe that’s just me.
The postmen and the rest of the working class actually do run this country mate not the public school boys and millionaires.
Or you could rephrase that to “I would prefer someone who had an elitist brainwashing and had been succesful as a white-collar thief as the leader of the country, as opposed to someone who works hard doing a job that’s actually necessary to society or some person from the lower social orders.”
Why don’t you do some space/time travelling back to South Africa or Rhodesia at the height of white minority rule, or Nazi Germany… oh wait… there’s no need… you’re in 21st century Britain.
I only wish I could smack people like you silly without getting arrested, losing the job I need to survive, etc.
Rasta can i join you smacking people like lazylorelai@yahoo.co.uk silly but getting arrested, losing my liberty has no fucking appeal either, spot on brother, now we need to meet get drunk and talk, oh just had me dredlocks washed and beaded at there ends..
Nuff respect from the white man with dreadlocks.
M.
there are 11 millionaires in the chelsea first team. Doesn’t stop working class lads cheering them on every weekend.
Hey, I know what to do – all we have to do is shout ‘wake up you workers’ and ‘down with all toffs’ and ‘aristos up against the wall’ really really loudly, that will do the international revolutionary trick!
Spot on Ian, let’s have a fucking march, for Anarchy!
Rasta,I didn’t think that you were taking the piss.
I’ve outlined a hundred times on this Blog wot I think is the way forward. But I’ll do it again to expand upon what I have only intimated towards here.
The ‘Hard road’ as far as I’m concerned, means taking REAL ideas into the heart of working class communities and the many arenas where we as a class polarize and wrap our politics and ideas around everything we can to unify and increasingly agitate for a strengthening of working class values and territorial control.
We can’t do it with the ideas we have at the moment-they are beautiful in a utopian sense-but they hold NO water in the realistic day to day struggle of working class life. They offer no solid workable solutions outside of the time honoured-and absolutely relevant-slogans of unity and fight back.
It’s a hard road because it means starting from scratch in a way.And it’s a hard road cos it means marching into areas where most anarchists like to hypothesis about but NOT actually venture into and walk it like you talk it.
We have to start with the worst areas because I think its the place where radical solutions go down better.
It won’t be easy. There will be opposition. But it will only be the oppositional veneer that the working class use as a buffer to get rid of the many parasites who try to take advantage of their disadvantaged social position and vulnerabilty.I’m talking everything from con artists to religious robots and political zombies here.
We’ll meet real people-community and class conscious rebels this way,and it is our way in.
But it starts with stepping out of our comfort zones AFTER we’ve sorted out some ideas to take with us.
The power vacuum is there to be filled.
And yeah,I’m talking about operating at different levels. On the streets with defensive and offensive solutions to crime, isolation, vulnerability, rip off artists, debt collectors, and all the other scum that prey on the marginalised elements within the working class. The Black Panthers did it in the U.S,Northern Ireland had a go,and now it’s our turn here with our backs never before, so up against the wall. And to back up our street campaign, I’m absolutely proposing we put up candidates to REFECT our street campaign and fully take advantage of the possibility of exposing our ideas to a wider working class audience, and prevent us from being ghettoised and sidelined.
We have to re-invent ourselves and that means moving into ideological areas that previously we were at odds with.
There also has to be a part of the organisation that operates at an underground level…somewhere in the greyzone of revolutionary blagging and direct action.I’ll put it to my opposition this way;If we don’t cover all the bases we’ll lose ground to the fact that different people want to do different things and different people support diffrent actions-why not blend the lot.
I don’t give a toss wot banner our new ideas fall under. It isn’t important. But we have to take power and weild it.And not be afraid to do so.You can do it to inspire and activate rather than suppress and divide people. Power is created by control and can be taken by an organised class revolt. If that means an invisible ‘leadership’ calling the shots rather than every syllable and move suffering a hairsplitting 10 year debate in the pursuit of an absolutely pure democratic response(complete with police informants, dodgy characters sidelining everygood idea, and pathetic arguements about the use of violence)than so be it.Call it ‘the anarchism of necessity’.
As far as I’m concerned it’s still anarchism if it leads to the absolute liberation of the human spirit. And that should be our long term goal as individuals and as communities and a class.
But to get there, we will have to modify and sharpen our tool kit.
I think anarchists have more difficulty recognising the need to take power than right and left wing people, because they have as the foundation stone of their politics the destruction of tyrannical power. But I say we should TAKE that power and excersise it like a working class machete at our adverseries be they the coppers, anti social scum or anybody who pursues an anti working class agenda.
Saying ‘destroy power’ is like screaming ‘break down the class divide’.We can’t dismantle the class system until we’ve used a product of it(the working class) to fuck it proper. The same goes for power. We can’t get rid of it,until we’ve taken it and used it AGAINST THEM to rid ourselves of the parasites who ride on our backs, once and for all.
Anything that splinters our unity, that subjugates our desires,or continues the marginalisation and isolation of our most vulnerable class comrades is who we should aim our most deadly rehetoric and weapons at.
Be they political, cultural, religious,’criminal’ or media invented icons or figures.
The new political spear head of anarchist politics in the 21st century has to a combination of reality solutions, implementable ideas that lead to continuingly contesting the control of working class territory thru defensive and offensive initiatives, and the use of the ballot box to galvanize further support and spread our ideas.
Combined with undergound actions and a pro working class media initiative in a style similar to CW at its sharpest and most dangerous, we can only step forward.
Forward to a multi racial class war army for direct action, control of working class territory, and in the process, the creation of a new breed of working class rebel who respect and love their community, home, family and class and are prepared to fight to the end to protect these important foundation stones of our life.Foundations that are being intentionally eroded more every second of the day by the forces of division and oppression to serve their own agenda of manipulation and exploitation.
It’s beyond me or any individual to come up with all the answers. This is what I think is the way forward.
Anarchists have an absolutely brilliant imagination for colourful expression and a passionate intensity for the pursuit of freedom and life.
If we can somehow redirect these virtues around a working class revolutionary agenda with its feet firmly cemented in REALITY actions and ideas,we’ll pick up where the Panthers and others left off.
East Ham Dave, thanks for that explanation. I don’t have a lot of time on the computer at the moment. From a brief read-through of what you said, a lot of it definitely makes sense. One thing I have problems with, though, is the “invisible leadership” idea, or at least with some of the ways that term could be interpreted… as in, a vanguard party that’s even less accountable than a communist-style vanguard party cos you don’t even know who they are… but if you just mean that not everyone is going to get conscious and get moving at the same time, so that inevitably there will be ‘leaders’, as there are in everything…. people who take the initiative and do things first… then that is a different story… which brings up other issues… Discuss more later…
oh dear. This sounds scary. Can we bring our own jackboots when we force people to accept this anarcho-fascist state.
lol
Thats fucking brilliant East Ham dave! Was beginning to tire of you until this! Talk about some up an entire strategy in less than 700 words!
@Project Sheffield
Respect 4ward 2 d I as well comrade… Well yunno de Rastaman don’t get drunk as such but we could knock back couple guinness sometime still… and sip d chalice… just to alert ya, it’s “Dark Lochganar” who deserves our ire, not Lorelei@yahoo… Lorelei seems to be on our side based on her comments here… and plus me mum raised me better than to smack a woman, so if “Dark Lochganar” is female I’ll leave her to the homegirls to deal with…
