I have received a communication from Mr. Justice Fulford – the trial judge in the forthcoming Simon Harwood trial- that some posts and comments on this blog are a prima fascie contempt of court and must be removed immediately. The comunication was received in an accompnying letter from the CPS’S anti-terrorism and special crime unit’s Zoe Martin. Accordingly I have just removed allposts and comments I can find -if anyone can spot any others let me know. I will not do anything to impede justice being done in this case…………so no comments will be posted till the trial is over.

Dominic Grieve QC has been quite hot on contempt in tabloids and blogs since jurors can look up stuff in between sittings. Mind you there didnt seem anything more relvelatory than material that is available in the Times, Guardian etc online, apart from the political bias.
