‘RED VICTORY’ A HISTORY OF THE RUSSIAN CIVIL WAR

Just read this book by W.Bruce Lincoln and warmly recommend it. What a cast of characters – ever heard of the Polish Siberian Division battling their way to Vladivostok like the Czechs? In Russia in 1919 there were 39 separate governments leave alone armed bands, foreign armies……………Lincoln somehow makes sense of it all amid the horror and the squalor……………..painfully magnificent.

I ‘ve been reading Nestor Makno Anarchy’s Cossack by Alexandre Skirda and I’d say that’s a good informative and inspiring read. Published by AK Press. I may follow it with Red Victory.
