ARMY SAVES ETON COLLEGE PLAYING FIELD FROM FLOOD THREAT

Just noted this report today:

‘As the Thames bursts its banks and parts of Berkshire flooded the Environment Agency swung into action with an ongoing and limitlessly resourced operation sanctioned by the government to ensure that not one inch of Eton College’s four hundred acres of grounds gets even slightly damp’.

Threat to Eton discussed at COBRA meeting last night. Eton has its own nuclear bunker. Meanwhile…….

  5. This story may or may not be true but there is a feeling around the country that the government were not prepared to move until the Tory shires came under threat.
