POOR DOORS – THE FRONTLINE AGAINST GENTRIFICATION – WEEK 9

IF REDROW thought we might go away they had a shock last night as a temporary autonomous zone unfolded before their eyes………we were joined by DIFFERENT MOODS, a Reggae band from TOTTENHAM, who set up and played outside the rich door. Highlight was the specially composed song DOOR which had the punters dancing in the street.

A brave resident of the social housing at No. 1 Commercial street took the megaphone and delivered a blistering attack on the owners….detailing a catalogue of broken promises, repairs not done, lifts not working. ‘It’s apartheid’ he shouted to applause from passers bye.

A Rolls Royce stuck at the traffic lights was plastered with TOFFS OUT stickers. It was old school CLASS WAR as someone said……….and it was fucking fun and spilled over into local pubs afterwards.

The concierge after weeks of trying to remain unfazed finally flipped over a door tug and threw a hissy fit. Its getting to them……….the cops have given up trying to intimidate us.. its a fight we will win.

Well done – keep up the pressure. Every protest knocks a few quid off the value of those luxury flats and takes us a day closer to the end of poor door apartheid.

Good to see class war on the streets of London regularly again…People are angry, they want to fight, they just don’t know where to direct it. The proliferation of social media has served to fragment rather than unite – so many causes, so much to be outraged about, so powerless – but we have a clear enemy and Class War was always good and saying who that is in black and red…

see you in a week or so.
