NEW ERA – ON THE MARCH TO MAYFAIR AND DOWNING STREET

french

The radical image of a year when finally a fightback against gentrification began – ALL HAIL

Unfortunately i’ll be on the march to Mayday hospital outpatients for the day rather than what promises to be a joyful, fun, combative celebration of the fight by New Era tenants. Such events are rare comrades and not to be missed especially when taken to the belly of the beast. Couple of thoughts.I hear Russell and Max Keiser will be there from 10am. Whatever thoughts on RB are the material facts are that the tenants love him and its their do today. Trying to think of anyone comparable to RB I can only come up with John Lennon in his radical years. What does it all mean you ask? Do we send for a comedian these days to win our struggles? How does that affect the autonomous struggle of………Ian shut the fuck up .ENJOY.

    Thorny questions-

only thorny if you’re a snide who’s on the side of Westbrooks. So thorny that it actually increased support for Brand, funny that.

I find Brand’s endless ‘twelve steps’ philosophy annoying, but it could be a lot worse. They might have invited Owen Jones.

We are lucky such a bright lad was not hoovered up into the flunky ranks of the profs now so busy with their fleecing of their pupils to the tune of nine grand a year to learn how many neutrinos pass through the eyeball of a shanty town nipper every second but not how little grub if any passes into its stomach each twenty-four hours still less what the fuck to do about it. Good on you Russ, stay loud stay wild as long as you can, shout rebellion and communal unity and Chomsky and Zen. But also when you have a moment please consider that besides the odd rough sleeper down your road tonight there are out there in the globalised slums empty mouths by the million every night of the year, thousands of whose owners won’t even wake up tomorrow — there is no millionaire sugar daddy like you just fifty yards away to call to when the giro doesn’t get through and the pangs start to gnaw. Is your pampered lifestyle really necessary? Time perhaps to consider living simply so that others may simply live?
