With 4 former Bullingdon Club members on the Tory front bench Cameron is reducing his ability to appeal to a broad-based electorate. That George Osborne has shot himself in the foot with Uncle Mandy and one can’t help but see the Tories being seen increasingly in the guise of Harry Enfield’s Tim Nice-But-Dim.
Six months ago, even 6 weeks ago, I would have said that Labour would lose the next election; now, not so sure and a 4th historic Labour win could see the Tories out of office for at least another 5 years.
Cameron has to raise his game, sack Osborne and ensure that the party is as on-message every minute of the day, just as Labour were in the mid-90s.
