The pair, who appeared at Chester Crown Court, were arrested last week following incidents of violent disorder in London and other English cities.
Jordan Blackshaw, 20, of Vale Road, Marston, Northwich, Cheshire and Perry Sutcliffe-Keenan, 22, of Richmond Avenue, Warrington, were both sentenced to four years behind bars, Cheshire Police said.
The court heard that Cheshire Police discovered a Facebook event, entitled “Smash Down Northwich Town”, created by Blackshaw.
Sutcliffe-Keenan also set up a Facebook page, encouraging disorder in his suburb of Warrington called “Let’s Have a Riot in Latchford”.

The difference is that this would be to protect communities & individuals from active harm, not punitive social control, which often supports the powerful & anti social elite. The Star Chamber needs to be deconstructed – gone is the pretence of trial by peers, rehabilitation & fairness.

There is a clear attempt to set legal precedent here, and that there will be a set of appeal cases is inevitable. The main point is to maintain the need for a trial by jury, and not to fall for plea bargaining and coercive deals with the cops. As for incitement to riot itself, putting the blame on random groups of individuals who have not stolen or behaved in a physically violent way against an individual or property, raises the question of who the real inciters are? Opinions are clearly divided!
My local council is asking staff to ID people involved in the hijinks and to inform on them- They’re sending links over the internal email system to MPS sites…
